             The National Gallery of Scotland makes up part of ‘The  National Galleries of Scotland’  and is situated in the heart of Edinburgh.  The National Gallery is home to art collections from the early renaissance  period thru to the end of the nineteenth century. The nearby Royal Scottish   Academy Building  provides a setting for related temporary exhibitions. 
            Admission to the gallery is free of charge.
