Situated close to the foot of the Royal Mile, this unique and enthralling museum tells the story of Edinburgh children past and present. The Museum of Childhood has been open since 1955 and was the first museum dedicated to childhood anywhere in the world. Adults will find the history crammed into the museum of childhood gripping, while children can enjoy the many toys , games and activities available.

The museum is open seven days a week and the best part – Admission is free !
